Hi! My name is Jeff Valdez Aka THE EQUATION BEATS . I’m a producer from Medellin Colombia. My story started like most other self taught producer out there. I got my first keyboard in 1998 a Casio SK5 .I had never played the piano, but there was something about this sound.
It has always been easy for me being creative, and so I started making melodies and small beats and sampling some records , later I got an MPC2000xl and 1000 and I started to create better beats , I studied Electronic Engineering and mastering in sound systems, My biggest inspirations comes from Rock , Funk, Jazz, Blues, cumbia, salsa, latin jazz ,hiphop and rap, so in the beginning I was mainly doing underground stuff and freestyle beats.
When I got better, it started getting fun hanging out with the guys, rapping and making ill beats. For some reason, I always kept the feeling that I could do this music even bigger and better, so I started to look for ways to show the world my music, letting it know about the name The Equation BEATS.
My sound has gritty cuts and hard beats, My samples are taken from a variety of genres. Creating melodies and new bass lines with 11 or 13 samples from different records in one instrumental.
I`ve produced beats for different artists around the world including , Skribe Beatz ,Pacewon,Dazer from Estado de Emergencia , Estado de Emergencia , Sickside Area574, Mc Mago Real, VicDeal , Nykolaz Tynoko, Tsh Sudaca, Mosense, El Dase, Kaze,Sammy laz,and some projects with other artists, I’m working with MEDELLIN PRODUCERS CITY beside to Leo Aka Moqbeats, making some shows in live performing 4 MPCS in our show.

The Equation Beats comenzó de una forma mas seria y disciplinada a trabajar en su formación en el año 1998 cuando recibió su primer piano Casio SK5, no era el instrumento que necesitaba, ni siquiera nunca lo había interpretado, pero en él encontró sonidos que se le hacían interesantes. Más tarde obtuvo una MPC2000XL y 1000, fue en ese momento en que los beats comenzaron a salirle mejor, inspirado por ritmos como el rock, funk , jazz , blues , cumbia , salsa, latin jazz , hiphop y rap.
Jeff está convencido que puede aportar a que el hip hop sea aún más grande, por ello es que su día a día se basa en crear música, esto lo ha hecho de la mano de otros artistas como Skribe Beatz ,Pacewon,Dazer de Estado de Emergencia , Estado de Emergencia , Sickside Area574, Mc Mago Real, VicDeal , Nykolaz Tynoko, Tsh Sudaca, Mosense, El Dase, Kaze,Sammy Laz, entre otros.
En el instante The Equation Beats se encuentra trabajando en su proyecto “Medellín Producers City”, proyecto que comparte con Leo Aka Moqbeats, se trata de girar por la ciudad y sus alrededores con 4 MPCS que tocan en vivo.
